You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. It is quick and simple and it will allow you some possibilities, for example:

• you can use your own username which you like
• you can see list of all your edits
• you can have your own userpage on Wiktionary
• you can use a watchlist, a list of pages what you are interested in
• you can move pages
• you don't have to re-type antispam control code
• you can change look and performance of Wiktionary
